Recommendations for a bookmark organiser

I have about 350 bookmarks or favourites. I would like to organise them better. Perhaps all alphabetically, but in about five or six folders like an encyclopedia - A-F, G-K etc.
I have tried a few Chrome/Brave extensions but none floats my boat; any suggestions?

Your plan is too perfect, it won't work. The alphabet system only works if you have unlimited space.


Categorized, nested folders is the ticket.

Try categories instead. Like maybe a "Windows" folder with sub folders for Win10, Win11, etc., etc.
Then inside the Win 11 folder... maybe sub folders like Tweaks, Apps, Utilities, ISOs, ElevenForum, Drivers, etc.

Maybe other folders for things like Hardware, Software, Security, Fonts, YouTube Links, Dropbox Links, etc.
Try to keep the "front page" of the bookmarks no taller than your screen.
If it does get taller, then you know it's time for more "front page" folders, or consolidation of folders.


That's how I do it and I've got about 4000-5000 bookmarks.

Chrome's bookmarks manager works quite well, and folders are alphabetized by default. I number them to impose my own order. Within folders, all bookmarks are moveable to your desired positions by just dragging. Otherwise, they're ordered according to creation date.

Here ya go... the left side is the front page of your bookmarks.
Ofc, the "number" of sub folders won't be like the pic. That will be determined by the number of nested folders/bookmarks, needed.
