i have a script by chatgpt that recreates, it appeared to work, but windows RE still shows disabled even though i KNOW it exists. I deleted the OG recovery partition by mistake, and again that script seemed to work, though reagentc is still showing disabled despite my efforts. now, how would i rebuilding it manually, without a clean install? all ideas are welcome. as long as its non-destructive, and won't erase data. granted i do have most of my data backed up already on a 1TB external HDD. and a 32GB USB stick with a bootable copy of windows 11 25h2 installed, in case i want to do a clean install or repair files. though, i'd like to try this without any data loss. looking forward to y'alls feedback. thank you!

You need to use following command

Code:
 REAGENTC.EXE /setreimage /path r:\Recovery\WindowsRE

then you can reenable the recovery partition.

In order to do this, you need to temporarily add a drive letter to the recovery partition (R in example) using a 3rd party tool like minitool partition wizard free. You can remove drive letter afterwards

If you deleted the Partition without Disabling Winre - > then you deleted the WinRE.wim and thus are unable to re-enable it..
The winre.wim (when RE is Disabled) should be in > C:\Windows\System32\Recovery\Winre.wim
If not present there - you can mount/extract the install.wim/esd and copy the WimRE.wim to that location...
