Remove specific URLs from typing suggestions Edge Beta (105.0.1343.10)

When typing a URL into Edge I get suggestions of websites that I have looked at once, generally a long time ago, and they are no longer valid however I cannot find a way to remove these suggestions from wherever the cache is kept.

I have tried cleaning the internet history, looked for a json file that ostensibly holds the file (not found), tried shift+control+delete on the entry in the Edge address bar and all to no avail.

The only way to stop these suggestions appearing is to switch-off Show me suggestions from history, favourites and other data on this device using my typed characters in the Address Bar and Search part of settings, however that then stops useful suggestions appearing.

Anyone got any suggestions on how to do this in Edge Beta?

I wanted to do that a couple times and other than clearing them all I didn't find any way to remove one.
I don't have the "X" either.

On latest Win 11 Pro and latest Edge version, but I've also tried it in my Insider installation and no go there too.

Although I haven't managed to solve the question on how to delete the suggested sites from history, I have solved the specific issue for some of the sites. I noticed that the star at the end of the address bar was solid when I allowed the URL to complete and a search of favourites showed the sites had been imported from IE many years ago!!!

Deleted the sites in favourites and the problem (for these sites) has been cured

SHIFT + DEL removes URLS from showing in the address bar again.
