Has anyone come across GitHub - zoicware/RemoveWindowsAI: Force Remove Copilot, Recall and More in Windows 11 ? I have just tried it in a Win 11 VM on stable build and it works well. Takes a while to remove the AI from the component store but is fully reversable as long as you enable the Backup button in the GUI when first running. I don't use CoPilot or any AI features and my machine has become a lot faster for a 9th Generation i5. Thoughts?

After running Zoicware's script, I deleted the cbs.log file as it was large. I ran SFC /VERIFYONLY and, of course, it found integrity violations. I uploaded CBS.log to ChatGPT and it noted this:-

Hashes for file member 'IntegratedServicesRegionPolicySet.json' do not match
Cannot repair member file ... source file in store is also corrupted

That was one of the actions of the script.

I'm surprised that the script made changes to the component store!

i cant test that on paint as i use paint legacy

People are really getting turned off about Microsoft's seemingly forced AI implementation. There appears to be a lot of hate for Copilot.

I'm not too bothered by it at this stage.

Copilot, Recall, bypassing the email requirement, even OneDrive...

I see many newbies come on these forums wondering how to disable, remove or turn this stuff off. And I can't say I blame them, either....
