Solved Removing an USB3 SSD from Safely Hardware Removal

I only want the external SSD NOT showing up in the Safely Hardware Removal , must be possible ...........
Besides , cant remove it anyway , " in use ".................
Still searching for the solution !

I don't know whether this will help, but have a look at it. A couple of years ago I had an internal SSD that Windows kept offering to disconnect safely. I got out of the problem with this:

I added a new Multi String Value called TreatAsInternalPort to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\storahci\Parameters\Device with the values:

(Use your own disk numbers from Disk Management. At this time, I had 6 numbered disks in Disk Management, and number 3 was assigned to an optical drive, so I left its number out of the multi-string list.)

Even Microsoft says that there is no need to safely remove. I would say nearly every post, advice and web articles I have read say the same thing with very few, mentioning it being needed.
So my thoughts are, if you never need to use Safely Remove, why, oh why, does it even matter?
I want to remove it because I never need to see and don’t need to know it is there, it is a tad odd. But people want what people want.

Because he got "device busy" when he tried to safely remove it I expect. Very annoying behavior.

Supporting reference? I find it hard to believe Microsoft said that. The odds are unlikely but not near zero.

For the first article you referenced, this is not a flash drive we are discussing here this is a SCSI SSD disk drive. This is why it is showing up in Safely remove as I stated. That article does not apply here.

As I already mentioned, and directly stated in the second reference you supplied, which does apply to a SCSI disk drive:

"Better performance: This policy manages storage operations in a manner that improves system performance. When this policy is in effect, Windows can cache write operations to the external device. However, you must use the Safely Remove Hardware process to remove the external drive. The Safely Remove Hardware process protects the integrity of data on the device by making sure that all cached operations finish."

And you can select quick removal which should give you the same behavior as a flash drive as I also stated.

I wasn't competing just stating FACT. It is not good practice or good advice,. You can silently loose data though the odds are not high. I don't mean to be argumentative and I know you are a smart guy, you might want to do a little more research.

This is 100% applicable to ANY USB connected flash drive, HDD, or SSD, so long as the write-caching is disabled.

Simply try it - go to the options for that drive and make sure caching is disabled and you will see the screen noted by antspants even on a HDD or SSD.

No it is not. You are wrong. UASP drives are different. They behave just like a regular disk drive, not a USB flash drive, when ejected.

Can't any of you bother reading up on this? Geez.

Let me try to explain ( again) ; this external SSD ( USB3 ) has a write-cache enabled , I booted with it also.
I have no intension to remove it.
Its always showing in " Safely Hard drive Removal " , its NOT POSSIBLE to remove it this way , coz its always "in use" !
Then WHY should it be visible in the " Safely Hard drive Removal " anyway ........???

Yes , will hide it , untill a better solution appears .
Dont want to remove this external ( USB3) SSD , cant remove it either , so WHY (??) always visible in the Eject Media applet.............??
