REMOVING USOCLIENT FROM REGISTRY

The above file was detected by Outbyte PC Repair, but unable to remove it. I could not find an app associated with it. My current Windows 11 system is 21H2 Build 22000 1098. The new 22H2 hasn't appeared in Windows Updates, but did so in my laptop. I understand that if there is an issue with PC, it is blocked from being automatically downloade and I ame wodering if the usoclikent file is the problem and if so, can i delete it without causing any problems?

What is usoclient.exe?
The legitimate usoclient.exe is a genuine Windows Update (WU) component used to check for updates automatically. The acronym USO stands for Update Session Orchestrator and is the replacement for the Windows Update Agent on Windows 10. Its main purpose (similar to its predecessor), is to run tasks that scan, install or resume Windows updates.

To check the validity of the file, look in the "C:/Windows/System32" folder. If the file is anywhere else other than in C: / Windows / System32 /, there’s a high chance that your system is struggling with a system infection. In this case, it’s advisable to use a powerful scanner to remove the virus infection. If you don’t have one at the ready, consider using Malwarebytes to clean your system of malware infections.

And here I thought USOClient was just another name for Bob Hope.

Yes, I have found everything by using a small app caled Masterseeker. The reason I queried this was due to reading on line that it was associated with Windows 10, si I thought I had something which didn't belong to W11. The alert given by the app I used, ste me o this course, and incidently, I ran it again, and usoclient was no longer detected so there we are. But this stilll leaves me with no Windows Update 22H2, so I either wait awhile l or do a manual download. If it is being blocked, I don't know why.

On my computer i waited for MS to send it in my updates ! Better than to download it & have something go wrong, in my opinion. Besides there was no good reason to hurry !
