Is it possible to rename bluetooth headphones? My wife and I have identical soundcore Q30 headsets and it would be good to know which pair I'm connecting as we're both in the same room so the signals are both strong, I've tried in Settings -Bluetooth and devices and in Device Manager but no luck.

That has been brought up.
You can temporarily rename the device but at the next reboot or hardware refresh, the original name is back.

It might be possible through the registry of sub-key FriendlyName under Device Parameters.
This in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceClasses\
One would need to find the device(s) first and change the friendly name.
Please note that this is untested and should not be attempted without performing some type of backup first.

Sadly no. On reboot it reverts to the original name. Maybe there'll be a fix or maybe it's down to the headphone maker. Thanks anyway, It started to work. :D
