OK, I still cannot figure out how one would modify a registry when doing a clean install from a bootable USB ISO - where is the registry and if it exists at a point before the compatibility check is performed, how does one modify it before that happens??
Anyhow, I used the replace the source/install. file in the win 10 ISO with the install.wim file in the win 11 ISO method and it worked (on a PC w/o TPM or Secure Boot). The only odd thing I noticed is that if you try to create a new MS account during the installation procedure, it sends a code number to the email address you specify in the account setup (that you have to enter b/f continuing with the install). So, how do you access that code number if the only computer you have is being used for the install?
