I use REVO uninstaller Am I supposed to create a restore point when uninstalling a program or App
also I see I Apple I cloud there can I delete it on my desktop what's stored in there ?

I don't let REVO create restore points... BUT, I use 3rd party backup software, so I don't need System Restore.
If you don't use 3rd party backup software, then you should probably let REVO create restore points.

The other important thing about REVO, is that during the end of the uninstall, it will pop up a "Scan" for leftovers, button.
I highly recommend you always "Scan" for leftovers, and remove those as well.

Most normal uninstallers, don't remove all the leftovers. After a while all those leftovers can cause slow-downs and other more serious problems.

Sorry, I don't know anything about Apple stuff.

I've used REVO for almost 20 years. It hasn't made a mistake yet.

I've also used Revo Uninstaller Pro for a while now and never had an issue with it on my computers. If I'm doing an uninstall of an app, I usually tell Revo to do a full Registry Backup first. When it comes to the Registry entries it wants to delete as part of an app uninstall, I always review them first before they're deleted by Revo.

Note I also have multiple full system backups of both my computers at all times.

Here's a picture of Windows Apps that I have removed with REVO.
Do NOT remove the things that are not marked with a RED dot.

Of the things that do have RED dots... you must choose which ones you want or don't want..

Since you have an iPhone and are known to copy pictures to your machine you may find you need iCloud installed unless you have iTunes.

But how do you know? Is there some sort of list out there somewhere on what components to NOT delete?

Me I'm pretty cautious about removing Microsoft compoents. I can "afford" the disk space and I have a relatively fast system.

Technically you could remove Notepad, Calculator and sort of remove EDGE, but you can Google the rest if you want.
I'm not suggesting anyone remove the ones I did, I just made that pic to show things that can be removed without hurting Windows.

Been using Revo Pro for years, one of my most used apps! I also don't create restore points or registry backups, as I have a dedicated back program, Macrium X. When you get to the scan for leftovers, you can choose 3 levels, just go with the safest one if you're new and not sure.

Also be aware that the Windows Apps installed will differ based on the versions of Windows being used, the PC hardware, and Store apps added. For example I also have:
- Dolby Access
- Dolby Digital Plus decoder
- Ink.Handwriting.Main.Store
- Intel Connectivity Performance Suite
and a few others.

Yes they take up more space but any performance impact is insignificant.

Depends what programs you have/need to execute tasks.
I have no apps..., (that's why I underlined programs!)

It may depend on the App/Program you wish to uninstall, frivolous or important..., If you fear negative repercussions from the action, it's probably wise to create a restore point. You can always delete the Restore Points if they are unneeded.

You would have to make that determination on the basis whether you use those utilities or not.

Is this a picture of the free version of Revo Uninstaller? I ask because I've been using the Pro (paid) version for years and have never seen a screen like this. In my experience Revo usually suggests choosing what to uninstall by bolding the lines next to the checkboxes they recommend deleting. In my 10+ years of using Revo I've found them to be amazingly accurate,
Please consider referencing your pictures - there may be many differences between the free and pro versions (if that's why your picture is so different from my screen). I don't know what the differences are as I've been more comfortable paying and renewing to be sure I get "the best" they offer - because they've been so reliable for so many years.
I also use Revo to edit "autoruns" and to clean temp and related files, particularly from drive C.
