OS
Windows 11
Windows 11 23H2 (22631.2506)

left-click right-bottom of the taskbar[or press :win: + D], desktop showed as expect.
But if I right-click any icon or any blank place of desktop, no menu pop up. It will only after right-button been clicked the second time. Not matter is there or not window is opened.

And if there is a window opened in maximize, then I click minimize back to desktop. In this back-to-desktop-way , right-click works fine. Right-click once, menu pop up.
It seems that if I click right-bottom of the taskbar[or press
:win:
+ D] ,
screen will be freezed. But the weird thing is that left-button is fine. Left-Click once, icon selected.

Has anyone encountered this problem? I'm sure this happens in 22H2 too.

You encountered this problem too? I can fix it by closing some feature in setting - System - about - Advanced system settings - performance - visual effects , leave the Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing unchecked.

I think this is a specific NVIDIA GPU driver issue , not everyone will have this problem.

Graphic cards do create issues for sure.
In Win 11 a big current issue it seems is the "translucent" feature in display settings I think, I turned that off and app pop windows weren't 100% transparent anymore, however I like a transparent taskbar so I installed an MS app called "Translucent" it's good and haven't experienced any issues with with pop up windows being 100% transparent so I couldn't see the buttons.. If you try it I think you'll be impressed.

Cheers :-)

Speaking of 'translucent' , I just realize that it has been a while that I haven't seen those 'translucent' pop-up menus. When I posted this topic , I did have this 'translucent' problem. Maybe some Windows update fixed 'MY' translucent problem. Again, not for everyone.

The setting is in Accessibility > Visual Effects - I toggled that off. And the problem went away. Maybe they did fix it, have to turn it back on and see.

Bubba :)
