Screen freezes then Black Screen

Onboard Intel graphics can be identified by the CPU model. Go to Settings, System, Info and search for your CPU. In my case, I would search for Intel 3770. The first result is usually Intel's own website. Click on it to see all the specs including the graphics card model. You can then click on downloads and go to the direct link of the graphics drivers. Make sure you install the latest version for Windows 10/11. If there isn't any, use Windows 8.1 64-bit or even Windows 7 64-bit, although the latter usually is locked to work only on Windows 7. For some old models there are third-party patched Windows 7 drivers that also work in Windows 8 and higher. I use such a driver for my test laptop (1st system specs) with Intel GMA 4500 (aka Intel mobile 4 family) graphics.

Maybe but some of us have to work for a living and my job for now entails shift work so think before you post and yes I have looked and it's 6 years old

The thread is old, so what? I have been helped many times from very old posts in this Forum or elsewhere. Many others might have the same issue and this thread helps to fix it. Google is not always that helpful because it gives too many results and is not easy to find the solution.

Found a possible update soon as I have chance I'm going to take the chance and update

It was not an offensive or insulting statement so why did you get offended and feel you had to throw an insult?

It has happened to me as well. I have forgotten some threads in this or other forums and I come back after some days or even months. Not big deal. This doesn't mean I don't appreciate other people's feedback. Of course I do, I just didn't read them as soon as they posted.

It's not a problem. Ive seen threads that went on for a long time and the OP never responded. They can be interesting topics to follow anyway. There's a lot to learn about the topic AND about who knows what around here. I enjoy it.

I have seen threads that the OP never responded, probably he got the solution without even saying thanks, then they got out of topic discussing some other interesting topic. Why not? As soon as they help others and we have a good time reading them.
