Screen resolution

I recently installed a new graphics card (HP NvidiaQuadro P2000 and I only get a screen resolution of 1048X768, under "settings, screen reesolution" no other option is available. I am unable to find adequate drivers, those available on the Nvidia web side are not compatible. My screen supports much higher resolutions, it is a gaming screen. Who can help me?

What monitor?

A quick online check suggests that the Quadro P2000 has 4 DisplayPort outputs (only). Are you using one directly, or with an adapter to HDMI?

That indicates your Video Card is not getting EDID (Extended display information data) info from the Monitor.

So, that means such things as faulty cable, faulty adapter, video ports etc.
Pre-made cables can be lacking in quality, so keep spare known to be good quality cables.

Thanks 4 your replies. My displayport cable is new, and I tried to download drivers from the Nvidia web site, they are all incompatible. Moreover there is no Nvidia utility on my PC, when I installed the card the PC made no attempt to install drivers or utilities. I am at a complete loss.

How may the drivers be incompatible? You get the message about incompatibility when trying to install?
Anyway, you need to look at the driver docs, like readme with the list of supported devices. If you see your device, then it should work. You also can try one step back from the last version in the case of undiscovered (untested) problems with your hardware.

More deep but more correct way is to compare the hardware ID. In the Device Manager, look at the Display adapter, your device should be listed but inactive. Find its Hardware IDs in the details (it may be a long list). The first line is the exact ID of your adapter, something like
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1F95&SUBSYS_3A3E17AA&REV_A1
for my GeForce GTX 1650 Ti.
Then try to find exactly this line in the docs or *.inf file. If not, try to find the next line etc. If you see nothing similar, this driver is not for your device.
