I have a program (FileCenter). I suspect it is 32bit. Not sure if that matters. But when I try to use a SentTo from it, it insists on re-writing the shortcut's path to x86 in stead of where its supposed to go. I can't use any of the sentto's now. anyone ever see this before? See the attachments where I'm trying to send the file to Acrobat which works fine in the normal Windows file manager, but in Filecenter it thinks Acrobat is in Program Files (x86) all of a sudden and its not.
You are correct. When one installs Adobe Acrobat DC in 11, it by default, installs the 64 bit version of Adobe Acrobat DC. In fact Adobe no longer supports any 32 bit version of Acrobat.
If there are no options within the FileCenter app itself for you to control where it's sendto path is directed, the only other option would be finding where in the registry FileCenter stores the information and then changing the path in the registry.
As stated, the default location of Adobe Acrobat is C:\Program Files. There is no version of Acrobat in C:\Program Files (x86).
You do not want to Save or SendToany files to the Program directory for Acrobat. You would want to Save or SendTo Acrobat or any document files to your Documents folder (ie) C:\Users\UserName\Documents.
Small note, even though there is a Program Files (x86) folder containing 32-bit programs and Win11 can install and run them there is no x86/32-bit version of Win11 itself.
As far as I can tell, you don't want to Send to, you want to Open with.
Right click on the file and select Open with. That should present you with a list of programs to use and one of those programs should be Acrobat.
If not, click on Choose another app (bottom of list) and select Acrobat as your target program. You may need to Choose an app on your PC (bottom of list of programs) and browse to:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\ArcobatDC\Acrobat.exe file and select it.
Acrobat should remain in the Open with list after that.
You should also be able to double click on the file and it should open in Acrobat automatically.

Well, ok, but I'm still lost. I mean I just want SendTo to work like it does from the normal Windows explorer. I right click on a file, and SentTo Acrobat and it opens. Not difficult. Now I do the exact same in Filecenter and it fails because it thinks the SendTo path is suddenly different. Its not.
