Solved Setting the clock for 24 hours mode

Anyone know of how to change the time in the screen from AM/PM to the twenty four hour mode ie 14:25? instead of the usual 2.25PM - 21.44 etc etc I have Googled it but apart from referencing the date and time settings I cannot find any satisfactory answer.

Go to Settings> Time & language > Language & region > Regional format. Then check out the settings for "Short time" and "Long time". Select one of the options without AM / PM and that will display the time in 24 hour format.
