Any other old geezers here who remember the early days of dial-up modems? I came in around the latter half of the V32 9600 baud modems. Used it on Prodigy in 1995 when I got my first computer. It's very hard to explain to kids today just how slow the speeds were on dial-up Internet back then lol they just don't get it!

Then we got so excited when the V32bis 14.4K kbps modems came out! Speedy!!

Then the V34's came out at 28.8K, oh man!!!

Then the V90's at 56K blew us away!!

We've come a very long way for sure, and I don't take any of it for granted. Who would have ever thought we'd have 5GB and even 10GB Internet connections?!?! I'm pretty sure our alien overlords gave us some tips along the way. :p

Some years ago there was a 100Mb/s on the market but it was expensive.
I used to have 15Mb/s and it was good for my needs. Good for Netflix, browse the web, downloads etc.
Big downloads took time but never borrowed me. I begin the download and go to do something else.
I have three major ISP on my town. They began to compete for the customer and my ISP offered 30, 60, 120, 250 and now 500Mb/s for the same price (US$ 20) I used to pay for 15Mb/s. Not bad.
I would never pay 100 euro each month for a speed that is marvelous but I don't see any benefits for my use.
Remember, I used to have 15Mb/s and it was good for my needs.

@Berry I think that it's funny that it simply says "Browsing Quality - Great". The classification seems underwhelmed by such magnificent speed.

I would have thought perhaps, "Streaming Quality - 8K IMAX Outstanding!", "Download Quality - 1GB in less than 1 second Outstanding!" LOL
