As the ISP will state, it's up to 1GB of speed. 800Mbps is what I usually get with a 1GB package.

Comcast has Fiber optic cables on the utility polls/lines,
but run older copper coaxial cables to buildings in the city I live in..
being Dover, NH, USA.

Prodigy . . . that the name of the service I've been trying to think of that I used back in the day. My second modem was a USR V.everything. I might even still have it in a box somewhere. I was a big BBS fan till the News Groups stole the fun but there were some good News Groups for a while.
