How I wish my iCUE software would consistently recognize my iCUE H60i RGB Pro XT liquid cooler! All the lighting on the inside of my case would be purple. :(

Care to clarify? If you want the colors to stick, you have to enable that feature. Click on a device, click Lighting effects, and enable Device Memory Mode. This will lock in those colors, even if you disable iCUE.....

ICUE Lighting settings.webp

If you have a purple icon over a device, those colors are locked.

My iCUE software recognizes my RAM and Corsair keyboard, but it won't recognize my iCUE cooler. It used to, but it stopped. I had enabled device memory mode to lock the colors, but when my iCUE software stopped recognizing the cooler, it reverted back to RGB. The RAM and keyboard are set to locked as well and are still purple. I believe I'll have to uninstall and reinstall the iCUE software. What a nuisance.

EDIT:
Fixed it. I ran an iCUE repair. The only issue is that my CPU cooler isn't really purple despite having the same color code as the other hardware. Oh well. At least it's not strobing RGB anymore!

You have a double post so you might want to delete one (I quoted the first one).

Anyway, yeah, that sounds like something weird is going on there. The only Corsair products I use are memory, fans, AIO. None of their RGB peripherals. In fact, I don't use any RGB peripherals.

Ah, I missed that.

Anyway, to keep colors consistent I use a color hex so I know the colors match between devices; but I also use both the iCUE software for my Corsair products and Gigabyte's RGB Fusion software for my board and items connected to it.

The hexadecimal color #9D00FF, known as purple, has RGB values of R:157 G:0, B:255 and CMYK values of C:0.38 M:1, Y:0, K:0. That said, if one device isn't capable of displaying that shade, while another is, yeah, you'll get different shades between the two RGB devices.

When I installed my GPU and connected the RGB cable to the board, the color color was immediately set to blue :-)

No disrespect intended. I'm sorry you found my comments offensive. I think some credit should be given to those who build systems without the bling just as much as those who do not and many of those can be just as expensive if not more expensive to build than RGB rigs. I don't think "traditionalists" should be ostracized for this either. Evidently, you didn't catch my comments on "hot boxes" and the fact that I stated that I also have some "aquariums" as well. I think that if I'm equally prepared to "criticize" myself for the same folks should be able to deal with it in good humour. I apologize for hurting your feelings.

You're making excuses. The major difference is we (me) don't make disrespectful snarky comments about those systems. Nor are we required to give homage to them when we post our "bling" systems.

I think we can move forward here and stick to the thread's intent.... Show us your PC/Setup

I take the interwebs with a grain of salt. I've been creeping around the internet since before there was an internet. Just 300 baud coupler modems, sysops and BBS systems. Even then there were confrontations on those BBS systems. The first multi chat room I was in circa 1990 had the same 20 users bickering over and over again.

I've become numb to it I guess. My ignore button has a hair trigger. :-)

Gave Dell touch screen with Windows 11 to daughter and got me an OTVOC. Being a PC builder I own many desktop PCs as well. I am a father of five providing PCs, laptops, and tablets for all my family, most of which I have modified, rebuilt, or simply built from scratch. I do not own a cell phone, never have, never will.

The colors aren't coming out correctly on the AIO. I copied the same RGB code to all the items, and the AIO just looks washed out. Maybe it's defective. At least it cools. :-)
