Solved slow computer boot up

If these color pixels persist they are dead pixels (damaged and not work properly). Color means the damage is not big and there is a very little chance to fix some time, permanently white means they are dead and unfixable. Two or three SCATTERED dead pixels (not all at the same point of the screen) might be eligible for a monitor replacement under Warranty. You have to ask the shop you got the computer from. If they don't bother you all the time (are constantly visible while using the computer), is not big deal, but if they are covered by Warranty why not fix it! Just call them, you might need to send a photo of the issue or get the computer to them to judge if it is covered under Warranty.
cant get anything done with warranty, closest msi center is like a whole city away! its in auckland NZ and i reside in wellington NZ, so i doubt i can do anything with that. these pixels dont bother me, theyre very small and i only notice them upon boot up where it displays a black screen with the msi logo, other than that i never really noticed it. just something i thought id brought up

I remember fixing a dead pixel (can't remember the color though, it was 10+ years ago) by gently pushing with the eraser some pencils have at the end :D

Valorant anti-cheat has kernel level access if that would make a difference. Maybe check various logs and contact them. There may be people that can decipher the logs on their forums also. Just make sure to not share personal information.

ah alright!

also yeah i realised that, never thought of getting proper help from riot but if it persists after this reset ill try that.

If it is covered by Warranty (call them and send them a photo), then they may have free shipping to send it for repair/replacement. If they don't have free shipping, then you send it at your own expenses and they send it back for free. Just make sure you packet it properly with a lot of protective bubbles to avoid any damage during transportation. If you have kept the original box, put it there.

if needed ill try to get it shipped, but these pixels are really small and theyre a small amount, the total amount of the would fit on thr tip of my pinky like twice or thrice. i dont even notice them normally, i thought they were dust particles. thst being said, i might need to send it in if the crashes go on

Contact them first, describe all the symptoms. If it is not a hardware issue, they may charge you, software issues are not covered by the Warranty. Also they will probably wipe the disk and reinstall Windows. It will be like the first day, just Windows and drivers and their standard software. All your data will be lost, so you better backup everything before sending it. Much faster than selective backup is to backup the whole disk to an external USB disk. Strelec's WinPE includes Acronis, Macrium Reflect and many more backup/restore programs at the respective section.

From your symptoms so far, it looks like it is some incompatibility with Val, your computer is OK. So unless the game developer releases a patch to fix it, or AMD releases a new driver to fix it, there is nothing you can do. Just tolerate the bug and play your game, or have a look at the old games we used to play by downloading MAME. These games used the latest technology in graphics and look much better than out MS DOS games in our 80's-90's PCs. Even if the same game was ported to our PC or other old computer/console, it wasn't that impressive. Even the Amiga port or an MS-DOS VGA version hardly matched the original arcade graphics. If you want to play these games at their best, play the original version in MAME.

PS: Amiga was the ultimate multimedia PC of the late 80's early 90's. It had the best graphics and sound, In the late 90's when VGA was cheaper and more common on PCs and sound cards were cheaper, the MS-DOS games started matching or surpassing the Amiga games. IBM VGA was the original graphics card that all modern graphics card are based. It had 320x200 256 color graphics or 640x480 16 color graphics. This is the graphics mode, 640x480 16 colors, you see in Windows XP or earlier without graphics drivers (aka Standard VGA adapter). Then there were enhanced versions with more colors and higher resolutions, aka SVGA (Super-VGA) and then there were models with 3D acceleration etc etc until today's graphics.

PS2: You can play all Amiga or MS-DOS games in Windows with the respective emulator. There is an emulator for almost every game console or old computer. For Amiga see WinUAE and for MS-DOS see DosBox. Ask your dad what he was playing back then and find an emulator and some games. He will be amazed to play these again! Nice gift for his birthday or Father's day!

That and CBM could not upgrade them fast enough due to architecture. My 34 year old A500 is still alive and kicking. Anyway, I don't want to derail the thread, so will shut up now! :-)

Let's not start another Amiga vs Atari ST debate here. I had PC with MS-DOS and I didn't like when a game was available in almost any other computer but not on PC. Thankfully with all these emulators I finally enjoy these games I missed. "Better late than never", as they say. This translates to 30 years later, but I don't care. Finally I play Turrican!! :p

Nice gift for his birthday or Father's day!
tbf i dont think i should be tolerating thr bug, would it not be better to stop playing val if its genuinely causing my entire system to stop working? like wouldnt these crashes mess with my hardware and stuff

tried most of these, thank you tho! i reckon this system reinstall i did shouldve fixed it, if not ill see. i first wanna find out if its truly val, so i dont wanna play for a while.

also, just a thing i wanna ask, is it worrisome that my system temperatures seemed to go down after this reinstall? i know this isnt something to be concerned of, if anything its a good thing, but ive never seen them like this so i just wanted to ask

Probably some application or malware was keeping the CPU busy and rising the temperature. After reinstall you no longer have this application, so the CPU remains idle and the temperature down. Regarding the game, have you tried to lower the graphics settings? This might help. I would download the game and play it to see a possible solution, but first I have much older hardware, it would not be the same conditions to replicate the issue, and second I don't like this kind of games. I play older games (aka retro-gaming).

FAQs About Valorant Keeps Crashing

Check this FAQ part and find reliable answers to your additional queries.

1. How can I stop Valorant from constantly crashing?

Try turning off the game's hardware acceleration or the fullscreen optimizations. If the issue is still unresolved, please try a clean Windows boot.

To turn off fullscreen optimizations, right-click on the game shortcut and select Properties. Go to Compatibility tab and check the box to Disable fullscreen optimizations. I click Change settings for all users before I check any boxes, so the change is global, just in case.

PS: I have seen a couple of old applications (not necessarily games) that have bugs due to some incompatibility when in full screen, while in window mode they are OK. Disabling fullscreen optimizations fixed the issue. Also in some other game, I don't remember which, it had issues in full screen mode, but worked OK in a maximized window. This has probably to do with incorrectly setting the graphics mode when switching to full screen. Keeping it in window mode it doesn't attempt to change the screen resolution, it keeps the default (such as 1440x900 for my screen).

my graphics are all the way down lol, and its okay not to play similar games. i will indeed download and play that game when i can, first i want to see if i can run other games and my laptop in general without crashes. i know ive rarely crashed outside of valorant, but just in case yk?

also, i found online about TdrDelay, and how that could cause crashes in the NVIDIA reddit channel. they redirected us to this link ( ), and ive tried that so ill see if that fixes it too

Since others have also crashes with Valorant, then it is a know bug. Hopefully other games are not affected and play fine. Speaking of old games, you can either play the original Pacman by Midway on MAME, or you can try this modern version for Windows 10/11:

What do you mean you don't know what Pacman is? Unacceptable! Learn it here: Pac-Man - Wikipedia
