Solved Snipping Tool Problems

I'm running 22621.1848 on both my laptop and desktop.

Snipping Tool works fine on the desktop, but refuses to cooperate on the laptop.

When I press new, the screen darkens, but the mouse won't outline what I'm trying to copy or cut, so nothing happens.

I've uninstalled the Snipping Tool and reinstalled it, but still no joy. Sigh . . .

Anybody got an idea of what I'm doing wrong?

What's it supposed to do, @OAT? I tried it and nothing happens. Retested Snip and no change for the better.

BTW, I haven't upgraded Powershell.

Can you confirm "Rectangular mode" is the default when you press PrtSc?
Because it may be set to "Window mode", which doesn't switch back automatically.

PS version is not a factor, please run as admin or as TI.
It is supposed to fix that very problem.
The command you enter is supposed to do this:

I found the problem! It's the M705 Wireless MOUSE! :eek1:

I've never had a mouse crater on me before, but this one did!

I took the mouse off my desktop and brought it to the lappy, and I'm able to copy/cut and save.

Off to Office Depot to get a new one. My desktop is demanding its mouse back!

Yes, rectangular was default, but if a mouse has cratered, nuttin' will make it work. :ffs:
