So, what Does Work?

Do you use the Right mouse button to complete moves? I do, and it really speeds up the game play.
You should really try it on a touch screen, a real joy to drag all the cards around with your finger - touch and hold counts as a right-click.

I have it running in the Insider W11 22H2 Release Preview on a little Lenovo Yoga 11e 2-in-1.

Bree, I appreciate your suggestion, but, I've never owned any PC with a Touch Screen, and I doubt I ever will.
Of my 12 PC's, (4 desktop and 8 laptop) none have touch screens.
I bought one, built one, and the rest were all given to me for parts. I fixed them and installed 8.1 on most, and they run better than new.

I have a 21.5" HP/Compaq TouchScreen monitor on my desk but haven't hooked up the additional cable for the touch feature, it sits just beyond the reach of my hand plus it doesn't work well with a KVM. Also have a Notebook with TS but not used often. I stay away from TS in working with clients as trying to point something out on the screen inadvertently touches/activates the wrong thing.

Berton, Back in about 1980, I was in the Commodore 64 business, repairing and modifying them to run quieter and faster. I burned my own custom Kernel ROM chips, and sold them all across the mid-west. I developed my own "Quiet Stop" for the 1541 disk drive, that prevented them from knocking themselves out of alignment. I did hundreds of re-alignments and customizations.

But I saw the handwriting on the wall, (Commodore was going under) and I built my first IBM compatible in about '83 with an IBM XT Blue Lightning, mobo, and all the other parts were generic. Some, more generic than others.

My first OS, DOS 2.0, came from a friend, on a 5.25" floppy disk.
That first PC propelled me into the PC building and repairing business.
I'm really glad to be OUT of that now!
Now PC's are just my Hobby, not my vocation.

Cheers Mate!

I've never owned any PC with a Touch Screen
My wife and I have laptops that have touch screens, but we prefer to use a mouse. We also rarely use the touch pad. On my laptop the only time I will use the touch screen or touch pad is when the battery in the mouse is dead or I have it in tablet mode.

My first did have the 5.25" and 3.5", separate drives. I think I still have an Epson combo 5.25"/3.5" out in the storage shed and a WinXP I could probably put it in.

You poor guy!
I see you've made 30 posts, but you still have not given us your location. Are you hiding?
How about putting your location in your Profile, we se know which way to face, when talking to you.
As for Win-11, if you were nearby, which I don't know, I'd be willing to help you with it. In less than an hour, I could have you up and running 11 like an old timer, and a Happy Camper.

I've done some tweaking and tuning on mine, and it's now as user friendly as my old Win-7, or 8.1.

I have to agree with those that say that there are way more things that do work then what doesn't work. I'm running the latest Dev build of Windows 11 and for the last few builds I can't get the Realtek audio drivers to work correctly. To get my speakers working I had to run the trouble shooter and it removed the Realtek drivers and installed the High-Definition Audio drivers. Combined with FxSound that was recommended to me by @Fabler2, I now have my sound working like it should. I would still like to get the Realtek drivers working.

And then there are the things that did work that have stopped working:

Working with a smashed index finger, I found Voice Typing to be great, but on August 31, it stopped working, and now I have to do a lot of back spacing to correct mis-hit keys. Typing minus one finger sux!

It was not so much a suggestion, more an expression of amazement that such an old app is so well able to make use of completely unknown (at that time) 'science fiction' technology.

The wining 'bouncing cards' looks amazing when maximised on a full HD 1080p screen too (or larger, if you have the time to spare.....)

fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update.

Ummm, as a former admin assistant/clerk, I'm a touch typist . . . which means the substitute finger doesn't know what it's doing! Which means 80 wpm is now around 30 or 40 wpm. :(

I know the feeling, up until I retired I had to meet yearly performance on WU Teletype Model 28 of 35WPM.

I used to love using the teletype! I had to copy movie reviews for Columbia Home Office from the newspapers. No scanners way back then.

Same for me. Reason for me to go to Win11 is to learn where things have changed, mostly moved around, to enable better help for my clients. Unfortunately for a computer tech, if he/she does the job right and wants to use the computer so will the client but if the job is done right the tech doesn't get called back.

I just switched over to windows 11 insider 22622.290 and voice typing works.

I sure wish they'd get it fixed in the RTM version. I spend most of my time over there.
