Not just Explorer, but your entire PC will run faster if you just get rid of all the junk on your HD.

I wrote a little batch file, that cleans junk files out of my HD (SSD). In one run it took out 160,000 junk files.
Now uninstall all those APPS that you don't want or need. Minus crud is cool! Finally, you can get down to where your cpu can actually run efficiently, like its designer meant for it to. Marvel of Marvels!!!

If it works for this auld fahrt, it can work for you too.
