SSD TRIM on full drive

I have an application that uses a VeraCrypt disk on an NVMe drive connected via USB-C. The VeraCrypt partition is a file that fills up almost the whole disk (almost the full 2 TB).
I am using the drive to record video with multiple streams; I am recording over 3 GB per minute.

I am seeing the drive momentarily disconnect after a few hours (very inconsistent). I think the problem is that Windows wants to do some maintenance on the disk, fails, and tries to reset the disk. This is could probably be the TRIM command (actually called DEALLOCATE on NVMe).

Has anyone any ideas on what is happening?

Thanks in advance!!

It's possibly overheating with that amount of constant access

Good idea! I can test that by heating or cooling the drive to see if it makes a difference.
I am now trying with BitLocker, as using only 80% of the drive did not solve the problem.

I think the problem may be the USB connection itself, as I also see random disconnects to my UPS
