Don't be fooled by the fact that it currently has a $100 discount IMO. The Samsung T7 is still only going to give you
10 Gbps speed, or just a tad over 1,056 MB/s sequential write speed to be precise. So, due to the fact that the 2TB WD Blue SN580 currently sells for $114.90 on Amazon in the US, after you add the
40 Gbps enclosure from WAVLINK at $55.99 it will be $170.89 in total vs $179.99 for the 2TB Samsung T7. The SN580 is fast enough to keep up with 40 Gbps so you'll quadruple the speed and even save $9.10 in the process. If your PC only has a 10 Gbps port and you're not planning to get a 40 Gbps port anytime soon, then grab a 10 Gbps enclosure instead of the 40 Gbps WAVLINK, and save an extra ~$38 in addition to this $9.10 difference.
