Solved Start up picture!

Just trying to mention since the last update MS Edge no more opens automatically......nothing to do with the start up pic.

Mine's never started 'automatically'

It can take 48 hours for the first photo to show. You can check the Assets folder %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\Assets & see if any files are downloading If this still doesn’t work then try an in-place repair.

I don't know if this simple W10 trick still works (or I apologize if it has already been quoted and tried out).

Open the Registry editor as Administrator.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Personalization

> If a "NoLockScreen" key exists and has the value defined as "1" > set it to "0".

> [X] Close

If the issue hasn't be solved yet, go to :

> Settings > Privacy > App Diagnostics > Set ON "Allow apps to access diagnostic info..."

If the issue is solved, you can turn it back OFF without any further consequences.

You mean after running the bat file?
What's an in place repair and how is it exceuted... apologize for my ignorance.

Download a Windows 11 ISO (whichever version you have), mount it and run set up, elect to keep all files and apps and let it install over your current one.

How do I access the Assets folder...….location?

No worries

I have started to get the scenic pictures', both on startup and after15 mins when screen turn dark.

1. But I get options (seen on thee 2 corners and middle) only when screen turn dark, on startup not getting such options as I used too.
2. Earlier I never got these pictures when screen turned dark and touched keyboard?

What am I doin wrong...…..?

Attaching the one when screen is turned on....

Previously I was getting such pics and options only on startup, not when screen turned dark......

I experimented that when one clicks on not a fan of the picture, it gives more options after which it again disappears.

Same if you like, like I did intially it vanishes despite Windows spot light on.

Strange... need to rerun the bat file.

Hopefully Brink would have an answer...

copy & paste this into the file address bar: %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\Assets

All is good but I have a question:
Why do I now see the pic/lock screen on my laptop, earlier only appeared on a reboot?
