Hi,

I accidently liked the startup W11 picture, which I wanted NOT too, now I don't see any startup pictures.....can it be undone for W11 to show new picture options before the pin code?

I'd appreciate any expert assistance.

Thanks.

Unfortunately there’s no unlike option. What you can try is reset Windows spotlight using Brink’s tutorial & hopefully the picture may reappear at some point.

If it was a lock screen image it's possible that it's still on your machine. Go to:
C:\users\YOURUNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\Assets
There you should find a number of cryptic file names. The larger ones (say above 200K or so) are most likely lock screen images. Right click on one, use "open with" and select "Paint" which should display the file image. If you find the image you like you can save it somewhere (rename it of course) and set it to be your lock screen or desktop image as you wish. Good luck

PS - As suggested above if you have spotlight selected as your lock screen display these images will be "refreshed" periodically and the desired image will most likely be redisplayed at some point. This is unpredictable and not guaranteed though.

1. Now on a reboot I go directly to the lock screen with pin.

2. I don't get any more scenes from MS anymore, probably cause I liked it.

3. Once in the Windows, personalization if I check Windows spot light...can see it in the background.

4. Earlier and now my default was/ is Picture. Default W11 ones.

Thanks again!

1 week still no pictures on startup...
Should I run @Brink , bat file..step 3?

Thanks.
Yes I would follow Brink’s tutorial.
I usually set the lock screen photo to a default picture, run the bat file, restart, then change the lock screen picture to spotlight.
Also check the Assets folder to see if any new pictures are downloading.

I have none issues with the lock screen photo. Neither want to change the default blue 🔵
As mentioned in the thread, I don't get any scenic photos on reboot, after I accidentally liked one...
Will this solve it?

Thanks.
