I gotta say it's actually insane how fast and easy this program updates. From seeing your post to updating mine, it was maybe 5 seconds, and 5 clicks.

It doesn't really update anything, it just re-hooks the shell with fresh dll's.

As far as I can tell, it's just Explorer Title Bars remain black! Everything else seems unchanged.

I'm curious what "mode" users who are using StartAllBack? Are you using Remastered WIndows 7, Kinda 10 or Proper W11?

I found I had nothing but frustrating issues when using StartAllBack in W7 mode.

Current version of mine is 3.5.6 and I find 'Check for updates' doesn't launch anything. If I click on www.startallback.com then that works taking me to their website and I can download the new version 3.5.7.
After reading previous posts I am not desperate to update to 3.5.7 but shouldn't the 'Check for updates' link work? Is anyone else having the same problem?

I get a prompt. Do you have notifications turned off?

Yes I have Windows Notifications switched off but other apps/programs tell me if an update is available when I open them. For example Thunderbird, VLC Media Player, Audacity, PicPick and others. StartAllBack does not tell me about available updates. So that's two issues: - SAB is not notifying me of updates (like other apps do) and the 'Check for updates' link doesn't work.

Yes, but I shouldn't have to. They are two bugs that need fixing so best that I point them out in case SAB developers are watching this thread.

Yeah, I noticed that SAB utilizes the System Toast Notification..., most other programs have their own mechanism! 🤷‍♂️
Gotta turn on notifications, I guess.

Thanks @Edwin - I turned on Notifications and the 'Check for updates' worked this time by showing the popup (photo). I'll now have to wait to see if I get notified about future updates without me having to click on 'Check for updates'.

Yep I think it doesn't auto check.

I use Windows 7 taskbar, Plain8 start menu, Win10 flyouts, AND Win11 explorer CommandBar. I didn't do it to be funny though, I just think that's what looks and works best. I'm not even joking. And no, I have no issues with it at all
