Does anyone know how to disable the Apps List to show up directly? I can't turn it off and it always opens it in the Apps list. I pin apps on the start menu, and to get to them I have to always back out of there.
Even using the XP style flyout menu doesn't work. It opens the applist and then shows another applist as a flyout. Kinda ridiculous haha.

StartAllBack 3.7BETA seems to be working properly and excellently!

• New Tray icons UI configuration page (replaces Notification Area Icons Control Panel applet):

- Tweak system icon visibility

- Tweak app icon visibility (same as Settings)

- Tweak tray icon margins

* You want to wipe HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\NotifyIconSettings registry key, if you have used SAB Canary, it was corrupted! *

The only 'problem' I noted when testing this version, is that T-Clock (which was functioning under StartAllBack 3.6.x) does not function anymore. Which is a pity, because I did not only use is for a better readable clock (14 pnt in stead of 9 pnt), but could use the calendar of that program as well.

Now I have to use ElevenClock again, like with Start11 befor, and put a link to the calendar app of T-Clock on my desktop.
The built in calendar of Windows 11 is not usable for me, because I completely switched off the action-centre (having good reasons for doing that).

But in total, its good to see that there's development for StartAllBack to fit the new Win11 taskbar in stead of using old routines that are still there but will certainly dissapear in future. So I'm not unhappy...

Space between the left-site taskbar-icons remains to big , even set on "S" ( small)
Right-site taskbar system-icons , showing better then previous version , space between them much better .........!
All together a very good update , although its beta...........

You know that in StartAllBack you can use the old QuickLaunch toolbar?
Instead of pinning programs and folders to the taskbar.
I tested it in the last version (3.7 Beta) and it's still possible to 'install' a quick-launch folder on the taskbar.
Here you find a tutorial how to install such a quick-launch:
Add or Remove Quick Launch toolbar in Windows 10

In that way you don't have too much space between the left-site taskbar icons:

Nice , tried some different settings for the width of the taskbar-icons , they ( right-site ) remaining too far from each other still.............

Wonder if this works in Win11 also , with SAB enabled !

Just tried 38 and 20 (!) , does not made any difference , maybe OpenShell working together with SAB...........??

On my testsystem I added OpenShell 4.4.91 with SAB 3.7 Beta and there's no difference viewable on the taskbar.
OpenShell has no more capabilities to change the taskbar, so I did not use it anymore, but for this test I enabled taskbar enhancing in OpenShell (which makes no difference at all).

Until recently I used OpenShell in combination with SAB, but as SAB has an acceptable Start Menu as well I decided not to use OpenShell any more.

Have you tried to adjust settings of SAB for the taskbar? Mine have been set like this:

The language is NL, but for other members I added english texts in red (as far as I think they would be right).
The margin is the value you could play with, it can be adjusted from XS to XL.

Perhaps you could post a screenshot of your taskbar, at the point you'r having troubles with?
Maybe other members know some tricks too...

" Add or Remove Quick Launch toolbar in Windows 10 ".............I choosed for the minwidht ; 20 and 38 , tried them both , did not changed the widht between my taskbar-icons !
So, I guess this does not work in Win11...........

Did you really place your shortcuts to programs in the QuickLaunch?
You can drag them into the area of the quicklaunch.

When using QuickLaunch you don't need any programs pinned to the taskbar!
Ofcourse nothing will be changed to the spaces between those 'pinned to the taskbar' items.

It does work in Win11, I did everything in Win11.
I only took a description from Win10 because there are no descriptions for Win11, but StartAllBack makes a QuickLaunch possible in Win11 again.

You can't use the reg adjustments for user created Toolbar icons,
you get Small or Large icons and Show Text or not, that's it...
(SAB 3.7BETA, W11 25987.1000)
