Hello,
I had an acer tablet running windows 10.
I could easily turn off the screen WITHOUT putting the tablet to sleep with several solutions:
via nircmd.exe :
nircmd monitor off
standby via SendMessage :
SendMessage, 0x112, 0xF170, 2,, Program Manager
When I send these commands, the screen turns off and all programs still run.
A simple touch on the touch screen turns the screen back on, and the tablet is still into the same screen.
Today I have a Surface Pro 7 running Windows 11.
The problem is that the two command above turn off the screen, but :
- all the programs goes to sleep
- I have to press the power button, the touch surface does not wake up the tablet
- once the power button is pressed, I get the lock screen window.
Would there be an equivalent to the old method that I used in windows 10 ?
Thank you,
