I’m running Office ProPlus 2021 suite (not Office 365). I am using Outlook as my email client for Gmail and iCloud. The default install for Outlook is IMAP and the same for iCloud. My schedule and contacts sync with iCloud to an iPhone running iOS 16.3
I tend to write a draft a few times a week and edit it as the weeks goes on. I’ve had nothing but trouble editing and saving drafts and in some cases, I’ve lost the text so my workaround is the copy the text as I go.
Before I did this Office install, I was using Outlook as the client and had it installed as POP. I’d like to go back to POP as I only write and edit on one machine. I do not write anything on the phone.
Is there any way to revert back to POP on the PC yet be able to read mail on the phone and if so do I need to uninstall the Gmail account in Outlook then reinstall POP and will the mail carry over form IMAP to POP ?
