Taskbar problem in surround. Here's the full explanation of what I've already found myself. I hope someone FINALLY takes the effort to investigate this thoroughly.
1/ When installing a new nvdia driver for the first time, win 11 starts up with 3 separate screens and the taskbar is on the 3 SCREENS. ( 3X2560x1440 )
2/ I change this to taskbar ONLY ON MIDDLE SCREEN. This continues to work well as long as the 3 screens are set separately. The taskbar stays nicely on the middle screen, the correct width of the taskbar is also ok.
3/ I change the 3 separate screens to a SURROUND setup ( 1 X 7680 x 1440 )
Taskbar will be on the 3 screens again. I can only change this by making the taskbar disappear and reappear via the settings in win 11. Now the taskbar is also nicely on the middle screen again, but it is WAY TOO SMALL.
If I do nothing else, the taskbar reappears on the 3 screens every time I open a program or a game. Every time.
4/ If it is on the middle screen and is too narrow, I can change that by logging out of win 11 and logging in again, now the taskbar is nicely positioned in the middle screen and also with the correct width. It also NOW STAYS when I open a program or a game.
BUT when I close win 11 completely and restart it is again way too narrow on the middle screen. IS THIS FINALLY SUFFICIENT EXPLANATION SO THAT YOU CAN FINALLY DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!
