Windows taskbar not working correct in surround on a triple screen setup.

One more question disable surround ok, but when you install ( clean install ) the driver, your 3 monitors are connected to your gpu so the driver install on the 3 monitors and then you enable surround or you on,ly connect 1 monitor, install the driver and then connect the 2 others ?

Leave all 3 monitors connected as normal, then disable surround. Once it is disabled do the clean install.

Ok, sorry to hear that. Definitely needs a conclusive solution from Nvidia IMO. I don't have anything else to suggest unfortunately.

Ok so come across this problem a couple of time since and again yesterday as I'm finishing a brand new build with a RTX 4080 for a client.

Just done the latest Nvidia Graphics driver install on Windows 11 532.03. The problem occured when I added and exception in the AV for bitorrent downloader. As often happens when making AV adjustments the Windows Explorer 'Freaks Out' for a bit and becomes unresponsive as the system incorporates the exception. Well of course the taskbar moved to the left of the three monitor display and wouldn't go back. I didn't bother messing around since I've already identified the fix.

This is a totally NEW build and the fix worked perfectly so I know it is a fairly conclusive way of resolving the problem.

Disable surround - set the middle monitor (or the one you want as primary) in Windows and Nvidia control panel. RE-install Nvidia drivers (you don't have to uninstall first) but you must select 'Custom' install, then tick the box that says 'Perform Clean Install" or the fix WILL NOT WORK! See image below. I think this is the step the above user missed. Even doing an install having removed the software previously will not fix the problem if this option is not selected. Once the install is completed, select the primary monitor you want, then enable surround and you will be fine.

Hope this clarification helps

I did " the clean installation methode " for more than 6 or 7 versions of the nvdia driver. For me it not help. The problem was/is that in a surround configuration I not can read everything. So I have to Increase text size and scale and that is the problem. You can only use one of both. Now I use the first one " increasing text size everything works well but still the taskbar is too narrow.

This problem of 'scaling' is a different problem.

If the fix I describe hasn't worked then it's probably because your system doesn't have the monitor orientation correct or the monitor device configuration correct.

Go to devices and printers, if you have 3 monitors you should see three monitors, but in your case you probably have one (or maybe more) additional monitors 'greyed out'. Delete the greyed out monitors, reboot and run the process I describe above again. It should work.

I mean in control panel > devices and printers. Don't use the windows settings. Just type 'Control panel' from the search menu. Then go devices and printers. Or if you have it displayed by category then Control panel > Hardware and sound > devices and printers.

In this you can see I have one monitor... because surround is enabled, but If surround is disabled I would have 3 monitors.

In your case experiencing this problem (with surround disabled) You will see one (or more monitors) 'greyed out' which you will fist have to delete. ( right click on it and delete or remove... can't remember exactly what the option will be)

er... I'm sorry I'm not sure why your devices isn't showing monitors (or other stuff) and I can't really advise you on how to get there because I can't read the language. What version of windows are you running? [EDIT] I see now your running Windows 11 Pro, same as me so, but I don't understand why your devices are not shown completely.

I don't really like the Microsoft "Settings" method of configuring system and device settins because it is more difficult to manage than control panel. However here is a screen shot of how my Bluetooth & Devices is displayed. I hope this helps a little.

Looking at your screen shot is the area I've circled the what you accessed?

Hi guys, just new here. I hope this is the wright place to put my question.
So ok, here is the problem. I'm working with windows 11 Pro 21H2 22000.832 on a triple screen setup. Mostly for about 95 % in a surround setup. I play the game EuroTruck simulator. When I want to use the taskbar only in the middle screen in the surround setup, it not work. It go good when I install for the first time the nvdia driver or when I set the surround environment but every time after a reboot or a restart the taskbar spreading over my 3 monitors. In windows 10 no problem but on windows 11 not working.
As an insider I report this problem the first time in nov 2021, still not resolved.

I almost try anything what is possible and I find a solution what is not a good one but ok it works, let me explain. When I set the taskbar in the middle screen and in the windows settings I set that the taskbar has to disappear then it work but that is not what I really want. So have one off you the same problem and have a good solution ?
Sorry for the late response but to fix the taskbar from left monitor to center is go to NVIDIA Control Panel and the top menu go to Surround displays>uncheck confine to single display
Simple fix but a pain to find the solution. Hope this helps cheers
