Windows taskbar not working correct in surround on a triple screen setup.

Hi guys, just new here. I hope this is the wright place to put my question.
So ok, here is the problem. I'm working with windows 11 Pro 21H2 22000.832 on a triple screen setup. Mostly for about 95 % in a surround setup. I play the game EuroTruck simulator. When I want to use the taskbar only in the middle screen in the surround setup, it not work. It go good when I install for the first time the nvdia driver or when I set the surround environment but every time after a reboot or a restart the taskbar spreading over my 3 monitors. In windows 10 no problem but on windows 11 not working.
As an insider I report this problem the first time in nov 2021, still not resolved.

I almost try anything what is possible and I find a solution what is not a good one but ok it works, let me explain. When I set the taskbar in the middle screen and in the windows settings I set that the taskbar has to disappear then it work but that is not what I really want. So have one off you the same problem and have a good solution ?

@glasskuter, yes I saw that , but first they talk about 2 monitors, I am using 3 monitors. Second they talk about taskbar on all, in this case 2 monitors. I have no problem to put him on the 3 monitors. I just want him on 1 monitor and only at the middle one.

I just added my spare monitor to simulate a 3 display setup. I couldn't set up surround mode because they all have different native resolutions.
I did manage to setup 3 displays and show the taskbar on only the middle monitor by unchecking "Show my taskbar on all displays"



You'll need to configure it with Nvidia Control Panel.

I do the same scott but after a restart the taskbar appaer on all 3 monitors again. THe only thing what help with me is " automatically hide the taskbar " see here :

Okay, here it is in surround...just needed a much larger picture...

I take sometime 3 or 4 restarts before it go wrong again.

After shutdown and startup it came right back into surround mode

Correct me if I am wrong Scott, but you set your taskbar left on the middle monitor not in the middle of the middle monitor. Try to set centre in the settings and try then.

Will do. I just rebooted 6 times and no issues. I'll set it to center.

In the meantime I tried your setup so not centre but left, same problem, after the first restart taskbar appear again on all 3 monitors, only when I check automatically hide .... then it stay in the centre of the middle monitor.

It's working as it should for me. At least you found a workaround...

Before somebody asks me, now I have nvdia driver 516.79 but I had it on all the versions starting with version 472.12

Good for you Scott, but for me not working and oh it is not my GPU, now I am using the RTX 3060Ti, but before with my RTX 2070 super the same.
I tried also the card off a friend the 3090 Ti I believe same problem. So I do not know what I do wrong.

you mean 516.59?

I first had the 516.59 but I receive the 516.79 hotfix especially from nvdia, but not working.

With update 22H2 problem still exist, when are they finally going to resolve the problem ?
