I have just been testing the paid version of Hasleo's WinToUSB.

During setup, you can decide whether it will be able to access local disks.

It really does put your live OS onto a Bootable USB!

The free version can make a USB portable windows from an ISO and this really works and keeps any changes.

But the paid version can do much more.

I'm not biting on any subscription software unless there's no other option and I really need that specific software. I've opted for lifetime licenses for a few software packages, but I refuse to keep renting the software year after year, decade after decade! The one I have to pay for every year is my tax software, I don't see any way around that.

Just tested the giveaway version had it registered. The two drawbacks I encountered were I selected the option to create a GPT & UEFI disk which only created 2 partitions instead of 4 and when I went to create my local account user name it wouldn't let me use any spaces in the name. Example: Windows Insider = error, WindowsInsider = OK.

rufus has all of the same options (or more) to create a Windows to Go installation to USB or external drive whereas Hasleo's advantage is it can clone an existing Windows Installation to USB or external drive.

Unless I want to clone an existing OS to USB or external drive I would rather use rufus as it has always been reliable.

I bought my copy of Hasleo WinToUSB Professional with paid Lifetime Upgrade August 15th. It's not cheap but it works for me.... I also have the paid version of Macruim Reflect for as long as it has existed but may switch because they do not offer their paying customers a discount or liftime upgrades. They want a hundred dollars for a 3 licenses for a year. No thanks. Hasleo backup software works fine,,, I've already tested it.. I have 6 computers to keep running and updated it keeps me busy and my old brain sharp.

Indeed, it does, what YUMI does, for free, you can use Windows Live OS, VHD or dozens of other linux live distros.
