Hello.
I have a Samsung CLX-3305 laser printer ( Barevná multifunkční laserová tiskárna Samsung CLX-3305 Stažení softwaru a ovladačů | Zákaznická podpora HP® ) on Windows 11. It only has a USB connection. But after switching on, it no longer connects dynamically and the PC has to be restarted. Previously, on Windows 10, it connected itself. It was on the original Samsung driver from 2017 and HP released a new Universal Print Driver from 2022 on Windows 11 and without restarting the PC it doesn't show up in Device Manager so it doesn't exist for the PC.
Is it a HP or Windows 11 driver error?
Do you have the same problem with something similar printer?
Thanks for the info.

For others - the English language equivalent page is Samsung CLX-3305 Color Laser Multifunction Printer series - HPSupport
- Notice the bleed-through of Czech language on this page. Perhaps this printer was only sold in the Czech Republic.

I suggest you uninstall the printer then re-install it.
If your printer manual contains no uninstall instructions then I suggest that you check for & uninstall
- any entry in Device mgr
- any entry in Settings, Apps
- any entry in Control panel, Devices & printers
I suggest you install the 2017 versions in the first instance then make a system image before re-trying the 2022 universal driver.

Sorry for the Czech link. I did not realize that.

Exactly as you write and you have it marked, I already had it on Windows 11. All original Samsung 2017.

But unfortunately later the printer stopped communicating with the PC. That's why I installed a new driver already from HP 2022.

The printer is already working, but it must also be turned on when the PC is turned on, otherwise Windows 11 will no longer recognize it.

Thanks for the reply.

Uninstallation then reinstallation can often resolve such problems.
If it does not then you could try SFC on the assumption that it must, therefore be a Windows error.

I had a similar problem with my Epson WorkForce Pro WF-3720.

It was resolved when Epson (finally) updated their driver to run on Windows 11.

Uninstallation then reinstallation can often resolve such problems.
Yes it will; this was my interim solution until Epson updated their driver.

Thanks. I'll try it. But later. (Some Windows 11 Update could have done it, and reinstalling could help. )

Have a nice day.
