time for thermal re-paste?

This laptop (Thinkpad x13) becomes really hot as soon as it booted. Fan becomes so loud and the cpu/fan area is very hot to touch.
Do you think I need to disassemble and apply new thermal paste?
Any testing need to be done prior?

Ideally, your CPU temperature should be around 60 to 70 degrees Celsius (140 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit) when running essential apps and around 40 to 45 degrees Celsius (104 to 113 degrees Fahrenheit) when sitting idle. Moreover, the safe CPU temperature range for gaming is roughly 70 to 80 degrees Celcius. If your CPU is regularly shooting above these temperature ranges, you need to clean your PC, improve the cooling system, and re-apply thermal paste.

Your temps aren't 'too' bad. A bit high.
Might want to try some cans of compressed air. Blow all the dust out of the laptop, then recheck your temps.

Re-doing the thermal compound on a laptop is not nearly as easy as doing it on a desktop.
So make sure you exhaust all other possibilities.
