I've had a few deliveries delayed from Amazon. I had one order that I got a email stating that it was out for delivery and for no explained reason I got a email that it was delayed. I waited 3 weeks and finally cancled the order. The warehouse it was coming from is less than 20 minutes from my house.

They probably didn't have it at all. a "Ghost item" Listed for sale but not in stock, if somebody asked for it, they'll order it from someone else.. Common tactics for smaller retailers or outlets.

That reminds me of an order that I placed with Walmart, not because I urgently needed the (small) item, but because it was on sale for an incredibly low price. The estimated delivery time stretched and stretched and stretched, but the item did arrive. They probably lost a little bit of money in this case. If it was a more expensive item, I may still be waiting for it. I do have an account with them, and the item is listed in the order history (like all other items that I bought from them) with a 'buy again' button for the same incredibly low price, wow

The tracking had it on the truck and out for delivery. Then all of a sudden it was listed as being delayed. I tend to think it got damaged or delivered to the wrong address. It started out by the deliver time getting pushed back to 10:00 PM. Just before 10:00 is when they said it was going to be delayed.

I ordered a DVD from Amazon on Feb 28th. It was filled in Tulsa, Oklahoma (Amazon Warehouse), then shipped to Oklahoma City, then back to me. . lol I'm in Western Arkansas. I don't know why it had to go from Tulsa to OKC, when it could have easily went from Tulsa to Fort Smith, then to my city of Mulberry. Delivery date was suppose to be yesterday, but UPS updated and said "delay due to severe weather" even though the item was already in Fort Smith at the UPS Facility. . . . The thing is, there is no severe weather in Arkansas or Oklahoma. . . .
