Solved too many processes running background

lenovo laptop
OS: Windows 11 home
version: 23H2

In an effort to improve performance I have edited processes and services. As viewed in Task Manager > details, I have noticed a few entries with multiple versions running in the background. I can effectively stop them. I wish to be able to take preventive action to eliminate the multiple processes from building up. (see attached snip for a firefox example)

Please offer me helpful solutions.

This is normal for modern browsers like Firefox, Edge and Chrome. Every browsing tab you open up is created as a new thread process. The idea is if one browser tab "crashes" from an error, doesn't kill all other open tabs. It also improves browser security a little by isolating each tab from each other. The downside is you will see multiple instances of your browser running.

If you don't like it, then don't open multiple tabs. Every browser does this now.
