Hi folks
will Alberta 2023 be the equivalent of Roswell 1947/1945. I see the UFO conspiracy theorists are all over the place again. Not sure why E.T would even want to bother with this planet considering all the current world wide problems. !!!!!

I thought that was supposed to be the attraction: so they could study our responses to the various threats that face us.

I imagine that if they were actually alien overlords, shooting them down probably isn't the wisest thing to do!

Not much chance of alien visits....unless they live in our solar system.
The nearest Star to earth is 4.2 light years away.

Wormholes etc / quantum entanglement or whatever -- bend space and then the light speed doesn't matter as the "physical distance travelled" is tiny. -- who knows with technology that is seriously ahead of hours -- it wasn't that long ago that people thought things like planes were impossible or how could you have a ship constructed essentially of steel / iron which could float.

In fact you could draw a force diagram of a horse and cart and show that any motion is impossible. !!!!

Blackholes destroy....Increased Speed increases Mass....Going faster than Light you would go back in time.

That's still a matter of conjecture as classical physics says that energy (and therefore mass) can neither be created nor destroyed. Black holes do emit (albeit very slowly) radiation back into the universe -- don't forget the so called "Hawking Radiation".

Time itself is not a "base property" so going forward is perfectly feasable -- however going BACK in time raises all sorts of paradoxes -- the classical one being what if you could go back in time and kill your grandma / grandad. !!!!

The Meaning of E = mc 2 The E = mc2 equation represents the idea that energy and mass are correlated, that any object with mass corresponds to an equivalent amount of energy. This equation is Einstein's special theory of relativity in mathematical terms.

Increasing speed increases Energy as explained above.

Gravitation produced by Blackholes is so great nothing can escape, theorists believe it to be a gateway to an alternate universe.

When viewing the nearest star from Earth ie:- 4.2 light years away we are seeing it as it was 4.2 LYs ago....conjecture, it may no longer exist for all we know, a supernova perhaps?
