Solved Unable to unplug the DP cable

The DP cable has a locking mechanism, so to unplug it you have to press the button on the cable while pulling it out.
However, there isn’t enough space to press that lock button.
Pressing the lock button requires some force, do you have any ideas for applying enough force to the lock button without damaging the cable or the monitor?

I have the same type of cable and situation on my monitors.

Hold the round reinforced part of the cable right at the base, and press on the button at the top with your other hand while you gently pull down from the cable.

Thank you for explaining it so clearly!
Your idea successfully solved my problem.
To be safe, I pressed the DP lock button while inserting a flathead screwdriver into the gap between the DP cable and the monitor.

Since this lock button makes removal difficult, I think I’ll switch to an HDMI cable. The lock button feels a bit inconvenient…

You should learn from this lesson and NEVER buy a DP cable with such barb again.

For existing DP cable, use a metal cutter or other tools to destroy the barb. (so it won't destroy your GPU or monitor)

I don’t unplug the DP cable often, but when I do, I feel like I might accidentally damage the monitor’s port, so honestly I never want to use this cable again...
