Greetings,

So high on my successful windows 11 22H2 upgrade on a machine with an "unsupported" CPU I decided to try bitlocker for the first time in a long time without unchecking "Run system check" at the end and it rekt the partitions so now it shows as bitlocker encrypted when its really not and it will not accept the password/recovery key.

I need all of the data on it so I hope someone here knows how to recover the partition without losing it? 😅

Cheers!

All that did was rebuild bcd with 0 windows installations because it can't see the partition with windows when it thinks its bitlocker encrypted.

My noob guess is that just the header of the volume is set as bitlocker, but I have no clue how to remove that part.

File system shows as Unknown (Bitlocker Encrypted) but if there is a way to tell it its just NTFS it should fix it.

You are wrong BitLocker and repairing BCD store is not same.

In this video, i will guide you on how to Rebuild the Boot Configuration Data (BCD) to fix some Windows startup issues.

I appreciate your efforts but I don't have a boot problem. The problem is the drive showing as bitlocker encrypted when It's not.

I found a few posts with the same problem but no solutions

I don't have another drive to just copy the data with testdisk and I would like to save a 100 bucks by not getting one. Winter is coming. 😅
