What I'm looking for is an adapter to connect USB 3.2 Gen 1 (male) to USB 3.2 Type-C Gen 2 (female).

Any advice would be welcomed.

UK - UGREEN are good IMO UGREEN 10Gbps USB to USB C Adapter 3Pack, USB C to USB Adaptor Female to Male Converter Support Fast Charging £7.99

I have a few boxes of these converters (various brands) because no USB-C in my PC.

You can find them with loops that you can use to attach to your cable so you don’t lose it. Maybe you want to utilize the male end of your USB-C cable for something, attaching the adapters is handy (y)

Is the USB 3.2 Gen1 connection you desire USB Type A? (That's the common rectangular plug.)

They’re USB 3.2 Gen 1 (Female) to USB 3.2 Type-C Gen 2 (Male)
Not USB 3.2 Gen 1 (male) to USB 3.2 Type-C Gen 2 (female). <- So that’s what I looked for.
