My Steelseries usb mouse looses connectivity sometimes after waking up my desktop. It worked clicked the mouse so the computer wakes but then the mouse is gone when it's awake, so I have to reconnect the usb cable and it's back again. Only sometimes this happens. Any ideas?

Depending on your power settings, you might to try going into Device Manager, USB Controllers, Right click on the device in question, choose the Properties tab, and uncheck "Allow the computer to shut off this device to save power".

Reboot and see if it helps.

Thanks but I have already done that for all possible devices here (first four).

there are a few things to try.
1. control panel > power options > change plan settings
in this windows > change advanced power settings

when advanced power settings open
usb settings > usb selective suspend settings
set to 'disable'

2. open the device manager
find your mouse entry
right click and select 'uninstall device'

then remove the usb cable/transmitter/connection from the system
and then plug the usb back in for the system to re-install the required drivers.

3. make sure the mouse is connected to a usb type 2 (black insert) usb port
not a usb type 3 (blue insert). for some reason usb type 3 can cause issues.

then see if there is any improvement.
best of luck, Steve ..

Thanks. USB selective suspend settings did I disabled earlier. I had it connected to blue port earlier, now it's in the black port. I have also reinstalled the HID-compliant mouse.
