I have purchased a external USB fan to cool down my mini PC. The fan is connected to a USB port on the computer.
The fan works fine, and its speed can be regulated. Now, onto my problem. When I shut down the computer, I noticed that the fan continues to spin. So, the USB port seems to be still powered, even the computer is off. Isn't it possible to make the port powerless when the computer is shut down?
My computer is an Asus PN53 (mini-PC). I have tried to find a setting in the BIOS but couldn't find anything there, or perhaps I missed it.
EDIT: Problem solved! I found a support page on ASUS how to turn off power on USB port [MiniPC] How to stop USB ports from supplying power when computer is off | Official Support | ASUS Global
