Solved USB port still powered when computer is shutdown

I have purchased a external USB fan to cool down my mini PC. The fan is connected to a USB port on the computer.

The fan works fine, and its speed can be regulated. Now, onto my problem. When I shut down the computer, I noticed that the fan continues to spin. So, the USB port seems to be still powered, even the computer is off. Isn't it possible to make the port powerless when the computer is shut down?

My computer is an Asus PN53 (mini-PC). I have tried to find a setting in the BIOS but couldn't find anything there, or perhaps I missed it.

That's been a feature/function/problem since the ATX-style motherboards became available, always have power to them unless the power source has been pulled from the computer totally. The power supply is connected to the motherboard which in turn is connected to the power switch. The older AT-style motherboards had the power supply connected to it but the power supply was controlled directly from the power switch.
