Useful Windows 11 only APPS

Hi,
Haven't run into any 10 apps I like
I've been using win-7 basic apps in a folder paint/ notepad/ snipping tool with a en-US folder included lol

I forgot all about the phone App I have used that and agree it's a well written usable app, the issue I had with it was it was a bit of a memory hog on my system so it's still there but the companion app on the phone is switched off - If I ever want to do a lot of typing or other high intensity phone task I can simply switch the app on the phone on and it's there again.

Most of the main phone apps content is available online via my browser - Android phone and Google chrome browser do work well together and the apps look and work the same on both devices

Of course it's not a day to day issue as my phone is in a car wireless charger holder, attached to my desk right next to my monitor

I usually remove the vast majority of removable Windows apps as well, but I did go back and reinstall the new Photos app. It's not bad, and it 's much, much faster as displaying images, even though my go to for viewing is still IrfanView.

I tried the phone app. Main thing that pissed me off about it was that if I received a message that my Google (Android) Messages app auto-categorized as spam, Microsoft Phone app still displayed it as a normal SMS. Same for messages that I marked as spam and deleted from the Messages app - they still showed in the Microsoft phone app.

So I did not connect it back to my phone after cleanly installing 11 2 weeks ago.

The most surprising app for me is the HP printer app. Not having to install the drivers and the bloatware from HP is really a game changer.

I tried the Phone App when I was still on Windows 10 and found it to be annoying. I might give it another try.

Yeah it's annoying when you want it to work and it doesn't.

They have made a bunch of updates to the app. I really enjoy it but the only thing you can't fix unles you plug your headphones on is that there will be an echo when you answer with a mike because the phone and the app capture the sound, so if you have headphones, no echo

Windows version can not be installed, so I installed app version and I actually like it more, it is simpler.
