I recently had a replacement SSD fitted to my laptop, and now when I access "C" Users I am listed as "HP". Is there a way to restore this to my name"Ray". I have looked online and only found a way to edit my MS account name. Any advice appreciated.

Hi, I must be doing something wrong, I have tried several times to change "User profile name as per your tutorial, but every time i get result as per attachment(2),I am trying to change User name from "HP" as shown in attachment(3) to my name"Ray".Any Advice please

@Rayal You’re looking at the part about renaming it during setup. Scroll down further to the “Here’s How,” that’s how you rename it after Windows is installed.

It's confusing having that section at the top of a tutorial titled change the user name, as it specifies but doesn't change anything.

And it will soon be unnecessary anyway:

[Windows Setup] New! You can now choose a custom name for your user folder on the Device Name page during Windows setup. The updated experience makes it easier to select a custom name during setup only. If this step is skipped, Windows uses the default folder name and continues setup as usual. User folder names must follow standard Windows naming requirements.
