We may be on to something here,
It shows Intel's microphone array SST as disabled. So I clicked on it and another page open where I was able to set it as "enabled"
That just might help.

So I went back to the first page and the Intel mic has a bar graph and shows up when I speak!
I can't wait to go try it out. Wish me luck and thank you!(y)

To pick up laughter, but I'm laughing right now. Oh my goodness. I didn't tell you before, but I have no. I have neuropathy. In my fingers and hands and feet. And it's been real hard for me to type. I've been using one finger. What about Holland right now? And it's just been a real pain to try to type anywhere. And I'm, I'm on a forums and I'm a on staff on a Christian forums. I I hope you guys don't mind me talking about Christian things, but it's just, it's so wonderful. I gotta tell you, this is a miracle. I asked for, I asked for a miracle, and I got it. And when you are just awesome, you know, you know what you're doing. You know what you're talking about. I'm so sorry, but I'm just going on and on. But this is just going to make my life. I mean, I think I can really make this work. And it's going to make my life so much better and so much easier to be able to do my job than I'm supposed to be doing. So Two or thank you all for your other help. You know, you guys don't try. Thank you. Would Edwin, you're, you're the topmost. Yay. Fred one. It doesn't quite get everything that wasn't Fred. Yeah, I know I got to learn how to use this thing. Thank you for showing me that learn more button. I tried to send you a conversation. But it just kept messing up so bad. And then it couldn't find you. So I just deleted. I don't know what it was. I don't know what the problem was. But I sure thank you that you've helped me here. You're really, you've been A, you've been a godsend. This is working pretty good here. So we'll see around then. Thanks again. Edwin.

I think new members have to accumulate a certain minimum amount of posts before they can Private Message other members...,
kind of a probationary thing.

Good to hear! (y)

You're welcome, glad I could help! God bless you! 🙏
Hi Edwin. I want o to thank you again for your help; you have made my last few days very interesting; what wit trying to talk/text to people on my forum; they get a little bit upset trying to decipher what the app spews out;l sometimes it's just gibberish or nonsense.

So I was wondering if you knew of a place on Win11 or some place else where a person can go and practice using voice/text preferably with other people for guidance.

Thanks for any help you can give me. :-)

It's a good idea to make sure your environment is relatively quiet, and speak slowly and clearly, using full words, try not to use slang or slurs, and try to use clear enunciation, if possible.
I was wondering if you knew of a place on Win11 or some place else where a person can go and practice using voice/text preferably with other people for guidance.
Help links are always useful.
You could open an instance of NotePad and practice to your heart's content.
Perhaps you could find someone willing to help you practice over Skype, or similar.

Hello, Mnorian.

Although I can't offer a specific forum for what you are wanting, during the interim search, you are more than welcomed to join myself and others in the Clillout Room. More specifically, TLOTPW thread.

A thread for daily greetings and general banter. ...hello, weather, price of eggs and the like.......... LOL

Feel free to have a look. If you wish to join in, just pull up a seat. :-)

Heck, even @Edwin, graces us with an appearance most days. :p

I'll have a look around in the meantime, and see if I can find a place geared more toward what you're looking for to practice. If so, I'll be sure to let you know.

Regards, WXC

I'm not sure if you have this on your PC, but, there is another accessibility app on Windows 11 22H2 or later, called Voice access...

0002341.png

... it's quite powerful but has a sharp learning curve!
I'll post more about it after I've had a bit of a play with it.
Stay tuned...

The Google Voice Search API is exclusive to a small handful of Google sites on various platforms.
If you'd like to use Voice dictation on PC elsewhere, you can use Windows' built-in engine, WinKey+H.
It actually works quite accurately!

You're having the same reaction a couple of my students had when we started learning voice typing.

We use Skype to keep in touch when not in class, and it's amazing how many more folks chime in since voice typing was introduced into their lives! :-)
