We do want to help you. The problem for me and maybe others is that I don't see where you have an actual problem that needs to be fixed.

It not a problem, curiosity why the size increased of W11 after upgrade from 41 to 62 GB.

I feel it's cause of multiple different driver installs.......

I could be wrong, but I doubt that your laptop would have that many unused drivers.

Your 22.5GB is seriously bloated for a Windows 11 Pro install. Mine is only 15.3GB.
My Windows directory is 27.1 Gb.

Everyone has different folder sizes, naturally.

But the OP tossed up a different issue, a sudden jump in folder sizes in the order of tens of GBs, that he could not explain.

May be the experts here can suggest avenues for him to pursue to look for the causes of the sudden jump.

Details here, but be aware that attemting to manually delete drivers from the store is likely to crash your system or make it unstable.

Thanks @Bree , for the posted link. Appreciate your expert assistance. I'd let it run till when it breaks than do a clean install or backup restore. ( I have a full back up when the size was approx. 41 GB.)

Today first I'd take it for a complete thorough physical checkup (includes labs and blood works) and than take decisions about drives, back restores, or a clean install...…

No I don't. Mine are unmodified

Awesome, unmodified using 3.5 memory with 15 browser tabs and movie watching...
Like mentioned mine on startup takes 4.5GB.....
If I open 10 browser tabs and 10 MS Word docs takes 8 GB of memory of 16.

PS: Hope you're doing well after the auto accident and none residual deficits.

Lucky man ;-) @WAI , wish I could do such an install.

3.6 GB of memory with 15 tabs and watching a movie........incredible. On startup my W11 uses 4.5 GB with no app.....:(
Is your laptop showing any problems? From what you posted; it isn't. I hate to say it, but I feel that you are trying to find problems that don't exist. This is just a suggestion. Use and enjoy your laptop and stop looking for problems. If you think about it, you don't have to look. Real problems will find you.

I was put down for this suggestion and had a bunch of @Alexey2912 can just use a VM and I don't care. You would be much better off buying another laptop or whatever you want to use as a testing machine. You posted that you are in the medical field, and I think you should use your main laptop to help you do your work. IMHO, if your test laptop messes up, it's no big deal, if it's your work laptop then it could be a major big deal.
