Windows 11 Home Beta 25H2- 11-‎8-‎2026- 26220.8062
Yesterday after the last betaupdate ve'rything was oke but this morning after I started my laptop and logging in the startmenu was not working, so I decided to make a reset from this laptop so I thought that it should be oke, but never the less it is still not working, is there somebody here who could tell to solve this problem, hope to get some help.

Hi Allen, When I push the windows start button then there are no apps and what I really did is a fresh windos install with the hold of my personal data.

A reset does not save apps. You have to reinstall them.

I think what you’ve done is an in-place upgrade. There’s a tutorial here that explains how to do that correctly.

Sorry, just to clarify... When you click on the start button does the Start Menu pop up empty, or does it not pop up at all?

Hi cereberus, so I did but still no start menu when I puss the start button

Hi Wisewiz, I really don't know what is happening here, I have done die repair install with an in place upgrade and when that is finished and the laptop restarts then I have a start menu but as soon as uninstall norton because I will not use that then my laptop restarts and then the startmenu is not reacting, so I don't know what to do.

If the suggestions in the thread I posted don't help, and if the taskbar is not hidden, then I agree with cerberus - especially since this was brought on by a beta update. Also, you might want to consider leaving the beta channel.

Hoi Allen, I have done just thatnand made a clean install and for now it works all oke, thanks for the help and tips.
