Hi there
If you use only a Wireless connection and you want to run a Windows VM from a Linux host (KVM/QEMU) then unless you go through real hoops (Bridging doesn't work very well) then the simplest way is to connect directly to the VM a cheap USB->wireless adapter
In the VM config attach the USB as a physical USB device -- the device doesn't have to be installed or set up on the host - the usb hardware will be picked up.
Then start the guest, install the driver (make sure the driver is available on an acessible disk before booting up the VM of course) and then it works fine.
Ok there's some limitations -- I usually always use LAN cables but sometimes when travelling with a laptop these aren't available and I still want the Windows VM to be able to access the internet. I'm using a Netgear WNDA100V3 Wireless-N dual band adapter (driver downloadable from the netgear site). Speed is a very passable 300 Mbps -- perfectly satisfactory for most things I need the VM for.
Tested on Home Lan -- works fine and still has HOST access too.
